My t.v. is not allowing cable to come in. In fact, all I'm getting is snow . I made sure it was in the cable mod. I tried to check the batteries but couldn'n get the compartment open.

Dear Dolores, I have a feeling that you are looking in the wrong place. If your cable modem does not have "power" light on, check the power supply. It normally does not have batteries inside. Most likely, power comes from the "wall brick" - type power supply. Sincerely, Dmitri Abaimov, RCDD
