 marine cat5e
Hello, is there such a thing as marine grade/rated Cat5e?
Answer by Dmitri Abaimov posted 16 Mar 2008
Dear Miguel,

I never came across a cable that was specifically marine grade but (almost) any cable manufacturer out there has at least one product rated as OSP (OutSide Plant) CAT5. Check out this Commscope OSP CAT5e cable for example. I think it would be best to talk to the manufacturer of your choice about any marine-specific hardships you anticipate the cable will be exposed to and see if they've already tested for something like that.
