 25 pin connector
I have to run a 25 pair cable for a phone system.I bought a puch down block with a 25 pin connector already installed. Is there a standard wiring for this connector so I can puch down the other end without trying to tone them all? This is about a 600 ft run? Thanks

Dear Sam,

The RJ21 connectors (Telco 25 pair) are not field installable (without a specialized "butterfly" tool that will set you back couple hundred $) What you have to do is to purchase a 25-pair cable terminated on both ends with matching gender of Telco and plug it between the phone system and the pre-terminated block (66-type?) The near end of the cable you will punch down onto the other side of the pre-terminated block. Then you need one empty block for the other end of that cable. The far end of the 600ft cable you will punch down on the empty block.

Sincerely,
Dmitri Abaimov, RCDD
