CATV over CAT5 FREE cabling and networking Helpdesk

 CATV over CAT5
I want to send an existing RF signal of multiple channels over CAT5 to a TV monitors 750 ft away.
What type of baluns will allow me to do this.

Answer by Joseph Golan posted 23 Jan 2006
Dear Brett,

Category 5e is designed only to work at a maximum Link length of 90 Meters (295'). Most baluns for CATV conform to this standard for the lower frequencies. I know of no product that will accomplish what you are asking.

In fact even stanbdard CATV cable (RG-6) will have a very difficult time trying to accomplish this without proper amplification.
