 cat 5 splitting
is it possible to split cat 5 from 1 to 2 connecters just by twisting the cat 5 cable leads

Dear dan,

This is not a recommended practice but yes it can be done. I would rather recommend the use of a splitter at the front of the jack (plugging it in) to achieve the services required. These splitters are made by a number of firms: Hubbell, Siemon, Commscope (Syustimax), Leviton, etc.
