 CAT6 RJ-45 jacks and outlets
Hello:
I purchased your Guide to Network Cabling. I run all CAT6 wiring for our new building. Do you know of any specific RJ-45 male and female jacks to use for CAT6. All I have been able to find are CAT5E certified jacks.

I'm also looking for recommendations on Patch panels and cabinets to use for our Server room. We are a small company and will have 2 Servers and about 20 Users (2xCAT6 & 1xCAT5e) each.

Thank you,

Peter S. Dettmer

Dear Peter,

There is not a field installable male plug for category 6.

You do not say where you are at, but you should be able to find category 6 jacks available for some of the better electrical and home center supply chains.;

You can also search the webs\ and find many mail order solutions

Sincerely,
Joseph Golan, RCDD
