 Equipment Rack Layout Guide
Where do I find information on how to provision equipment in a free standing 7'X 19" equipment rack? I know the holes drills in rack for mounting equipment but how do you effectively use them as a guide for installing LAN/WAN and cabling connection hardware?

Hi, Troy!

Cabling hardware and equipment must be suitable for 19" rack installation. That means it will have special "ears" or brackets with special holes for attachment to holes in 19" racks.

Holes in the rack are usually equipped with spring-loaded nuts and equipment is fastened to the racks using special bolts.

Best regards
