 cat5 in new house
Really basic question - my new house has cat5 wiring, but I have no idea how to take advantage of it. Any "Cat5 for Dummies" tips you can give?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Dear Kory,

I don't want it to sound overly like an ad, but I would say that this was the whole reason we put together the Home Cabling Guide. We've just released a new, 2004 version of it, based on the newest standard, also just published. You could find samples of various applications for the cabling: data network, phone connections, video, Infrared etc. There is also a sample chapter available here: http://www.cabling-design.com/resources/documents/residential.html

Sincerely,
Dmitri Abaimov, RCDD
