 RS485 to PC Serial Communication
Would you kindly assist me by providing the pin-out for an RS485 to PC serial interface (using a DB9 connector).

Dear Jim,

There is no "standard" answer for this as the PC serial port is RS-232 which would require more then a direct pin-out conversion. What you need is a converter. I would suggest looking at Black Box see link below and copy to your browser.

Use their search catalog engine with "RS-485 Converter" as the search text. There are a number of choices there and they have on-line tech support. You will most likely also need a serial cable/adapter to change from the 9 pin to a 25 pin serial port.

Sincerely,
Joseph Golan, RCDD
