cat 6 compatible to cat 5 wiring?
I have a cat 5 system, will a cat 6 upgrade work on the present wire/jack configuration?
At what cost, what needs to be done to make it cat 6 compliable?

Dear Les ,

Basically, the entire channel has to be replaced in order to comply with CAT6 spec. That means horizontal (closet-to-desk) cable, patch panel, jacks and all the patch cords.

Sincerely,
Dmitri Abaimov, RCDD
