 Landline connection problems
Hi, my land line has been ckd. out by B.T who can't find a fault. Every one who tries to ring in says were always engaged and the B.T answer service comes on after a number of rings. I can dial out ok. and get on the net ok .The incoming cable cores used are wh.solid and orange solid on 2 and 5 ,ive run an extension for our 2 cordless phones and net off the main B.T box . Can you tell me colour codes and connection No's for the Xtension and net and advice of any problems

Dear Andy,

If you can dial out , then it may be a problem with too many phones on the same line. Try to disconnect all but one phone and see if it will strart ringing on incoming call.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with pin layout in a UK phone socket.
