 RJ11 conversion??
Is it possible to rewire a regular phone cable to an RJ45 modular connector...and if so where do the two wires(green and red) go?
I'm trying to connect a phone line to an Inetshare 104 router so everyone has access to the internet...is this possible? We don't have broadband in our area yet...so we have to use dial up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dear Adam,

Yes, you can rewire a phone cable to a RJ45. The red/green pair will go to the central pins (pins #4 and #5), and the yellow/black pair will go to pins #3 and #6

Hope this helps.
