thank you for an extremely informative site
to use an additional hub, do i use the uplink switch on the original hub or the added hub in order to work.

Dear Marwaan,

This switch is there just to "convert" straight-through patch cord into "cross-over" patch cord. So, if you have just a regular, straight-through cord, then yes, use this switch.
