Is it necessary to use all 4 pairs when setting up a home network"?

Dear Scott,

It is very much recommended. If you absolutely have to split pairs to serve two phones through the same cable, you are welcome to do so utilizing an external adapter. This way you can get the system back to normal by just displacing the adapter.
