 Maximum Cabling for Conduit
Can you tell me how many 4-pair Cat 5 cables I can fit in a 4" conduit?

Hi Dan,

You can pull up to 90 cables through 4" conduit. This is assuming the conduit isn't longer than 90' and has no more than two 90 degree bends.

This number may be increased to 140 cables if the conduit is shorter than 50' and has no bends at all.

Lubricants may help to increase it even further, but it's pretty hard to tell for how much. I wouldn't count on that.

Sincerely,
Dmitri Abaimov, RCDD
