Dear Chandra Sekar,

Your switch is apparently auto-sensing the pinout because you have any connectivity at all. If you did not get the pinout right, you will see no network at all as opposed to your current slow network. That said, however, verify that the plugs are installed neatly and the pairs are not untwisted too much. Also, you did not say what's on the other end but, again, if the pinout was wrong there will be no connectivity whatsoever. If cabling is the culprit, it may be a damaged cord (stepped on and crushed, kinked, stretched etc.) or a bad crimp of the plugs on the ends. See if you can replace the cable you made with a factory made cable and if it made any difference. If not, the cablign is not your problem.

Sincerely,
Dmitri Abaimov, RCDD
