 Cable Identification
I have a piece of CAT5 cable labelled 'CM OR MP'. Does this mean it is the same as CMP or something else? Thanks.

Dear Todd,

No it's not a plenum cable.
It's regular PVC MultiPurpose (MP) or Communications Multipurpose (CM).

For a plenum one you would expect CMP mark on the cable's jacket.

Sincerely,
Dmitri Abaimov, RCDD
