 Cable bundling
Regarding cat5E installation in a cable tray in a raised floor environment. Is it necessary or required to bundle the cables? If so, are velcro wraps acceptable?

Dear Noel,

It is recommended to bundle the cables to differentiate them easily from the ones that will be run later.

For this particular application I'd say that Velcro is not only acceptable, but highly recommended because it doesn't apply too much pressure on the cables' jackets.

Sincerely,
Dmitri Abaimov, RCDD
