 phone cable
I am going to run a telephone line from a tele pole feed (plastic jacket box) to a trailer and connect 3 jacks. The distance from the pole is about 50 ft. Last jack could be over 100 ft. What catagory cable do I need to use and how many wires/feet. Can I bury the cable underground to the trailer? Arizona summers mean 115 degree shade, lots of UV!

Dear jerry,

If it is just for telephone service, you could get away with category 3 as a minimum. As you are planning this for a direct burial installation, I would use a cable designed for direct burial rather then using "Inside" cable as it would deteriorate quickly and outdoor cable will hold up better to the UV
