 5e vs 6
Why does cat6 punch down differently than cat5e?
Answer by Joseph Golan posted 25 Oct 2005
Dear Michael,

The color coding is the same, the only thing different is to take more care in the fanning out of the pairs to insure that they do not bend sharply over each other. Follow the termination instructions of the manufacturer of the jacks, panels and/or blocks.
