 How to install Cat6
I would like to know the difference between cat6 and cat5e installation procedures. I read somewhere that you can’t lace them up in a bundle like cat5e. Are their other thinks I should keep in mind. Because or installers are used to install cat5 but not cat6. Can you tell me where I can find information about it? Thank you

Dear Vincent,

The installation procedures are pretty much the same. The reason they do not endorse the bundling of cable is that it puts additional stress on the lay of the pairs and also to reduce alien crosstalk from adjacent cable running parallel.

There is some additional care needed to be taken at the terminations. The best place for this is from the manufacturer's web site. A number of them have down-loadable installation instructions but it does vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Sincerely,
