Dear saravan,

STP usually refers to an IBM Type 1 type cable which is 2 pair 22 awg and has a nominal impedence of 150 ohms, it is not pair of the "category" cables.

FTP is 4 pair 24awg and has a nominal impedence of 100 ohms.

Sincerely,
Joseph Golan, RCDD
