CONNECTING DLS FRITZ! BOX FON WLAN 7020 (RJ45) TO DSL LINE PHONE (rJ11)
I RECENTLY BOUGHT A AVM FRITZ! BOX FON WLAN 7020. THE DSL OUTPUT HAS RJ45 SOCKET BUT THE WALL SOCKET TELEPHON LINE IS A RJ11 SOCKET. I TRIED TO CONNECT WITH A RJ11-RJ45 CABLE WITH THE FOUR CENTRAL PIN CONNECTED, BUT THE MODEM DOESN'T "HEAR" THE ADSL SIGNAL.
HOW CAN I SOLVE THE PROBLEM?
THANK IN ADVANCE.

Dear STEFANO,

I tried to look this up unit on the web, however I could not find a site that was in english or translatable to english to look up the connection information. You need to review the installation portion of the user guide for the "Input" not output of the DSL port on the unit. Also you must NOT have a DSL filter on the cable that feed the modem, the filter is only for the telephones or other analog equipment that shares the line to filter out the DSL signal which could appear as noise.

Sincerely,
Joseph Golan, RCDD
