identify cable by print on jacket
I've got a gray cable that I need to identify it is shielded or not. The jacket is labeled as follows:

C3 Sation/block wire NORDX/CDT (L) Category 3 4 PR 24 AMG CMX Outdoor-CMR (UL).

Can anyone tell me if this is shielded or not?

Dear Kent,

I did a search at the Belden/CDT web site (they purchased Nordx and could not locate any cable matching your information, it may be a discontinued part.

You may want to contact them directly to see if they can help you at:

http://hermione.nordx.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StoreCatalogDisplay

or

http://www.nordx.com/public/htmen/TechSupport_USA.htm

I would think it would be fairly easy to go to the end of the cable and examine it for any shields. Please note that per the marking you have supplied that this should be an Indoor/Outdoor cable but it is not suited for installation in a plenum environment

Sincerely,
Joseph Golan, RCDD
