Hi there, What are the advantages and disadvantages of using splitter?

Dear Joe, There are many different types of splitters and your question was not specific. Advanatge of CATV splitters is a single cable can serve mutiple devices; Disadvantage singal loss Advantage of using a splitter on unshielded twisted pair cable to have both data and telephone on a single cable; disadvantage is cross-talk and interference between the services.
