 Cat 6 cable ties
Hi,

My company uses a substantial amount of Category 6 cabling - I was wondering what cable tie you think would work best for the Cat 6 cables?

Many thanks Rob

Dear Rob,

You can use any cable tie you like as long as it does not deform the jacket when tightened then disturbing the lay of the pairs and the spacing internally. Most contractors and consultants recommend Velcro type ties to prevent the condition.

Also if you are using ties in a plenum rated space, then insure that the ties are plenum rated as well.

Sincerely,
Joseph Golan, RCDD
