| Question by salehin j posted 23 Jun 2005 | defferent design | Hi, I would like to know what are the defferences between these two design. RG11 cables are pull from a Naval CA to each floor to a tapoff in a closet. From this closets, 4 RG11 cable are then run to another tapoff each. This 4 tapoffs are then 'tap' to another 3 tapoffs each + 1 splitter at the end of the last tapoff. So the question is, what is/are the difference/s of connecting tapoffs first then followed by splitters at the end of the connection. From using splitters first then followed by tapoffs? | | Answer by Joseph Golan posted 25 Jun 2005 | Dear salehin,
Splitters are just that, they divide the signal equally to each output. A Tapoff usally can be fitted with attenuators for balancing the signal load
