 cat5e cabling code
Hello, I'm wondering if any codes would be violated by running cat5e cable through walls sharing the same hole with a fire sprinkler system pipe. Can you tell me? Also, can the cat5e be attached to the sprinkler piper with cable ties or should it be supported in another manner?

Thank you.

Dear Kurt,

This answer would depend upon your local and the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction). I certainly would not do this as I believe there are codes adopted in most locals that would not allow this. (Besides it would be a sloppy practice)

Sincerely,
Joseph Golan, RCDD
