 circuit documentation
I am the site OSP engineer for a customer with a fairly large campus infrastructure and have recently been dragged into the maintenance/documentation aspect of their network. We maintain accurate documentation of the installed cabling, but have nothing to do with tracking the circuits that are using the plant, both copper and fiber. Is there a package that can be used to track plant usage for a campus environment? Graphical interface would be good. We have all of our records in ACAD and an interface would be nice but not required. Probably the most important requirement would be KISS. The customer rotates every 4 months and training would be minimal at best.

Dear Chris,

There are many packages out there that do this but none that I have found are KISS.....The man who invents it will be a millionaire.

Sincerely,
Joseph Golan, RCDD
