 usb to rj45 ethernet
I've been looking for the pinout to convert an rj45 ethernet cable to a usb port. I have the equipment to make the cables but have not been able to find the pinout on the web for the usb end

Dear Brett,

it is not a simple matter of connecting the pins in a certain way. You need an active device - a USB network card, to be exact, to perform the conversion. Here is a page with all kinds of these devices for you anywhere between $15 and $30:
