 Inverted crossover cable
Do u know the effect of terminating with the Rx+ & Rx- (Tx+ & Tx- too) inverted (1-2-3-6 to 6-3-2-1)in a cross cable?

The cabl stilll works, but I would like to know whether there will be any impact?

Dear Bryan,

Since the application (I assume 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet) uses balanced mode transmission, it really doesn't matter what polarity it is. Receiving device takes only the difference between the two conductors' voltage.

So there will be no impact at all.

Sincerely,
