Dear ian,

An RJ-11 is a telecommunications standard for a residential type telecommunications plug and COM2 is a PC standard for a serial port. You are mixing apples and oranges here but I don't think you want fruit salad.
If your weatherlink does utilize what looks like an RJ-11, you will need to consult the manufacturer user guides or contact them for connection information. I did try and search the web for you under "weatherlink" but the results were to numerous to investigate without a manufacturer name or model number.

Sincerely,
Joseph Golan, RCDD
