Plenum Rated Jackets FREE cabling and networking Helpdesk

 Plenum Rated Jackets
I work for a motorized projection company that makes a screen that is mounted in the ceiling. The wires that come from the motor sometimes have to be in the ceiling. The wires that we use are not plenum rated and therefore in some applications our product can not be used. Do you sell or know of a company who manufactures a jacket, sleeve or coating that can be put over the wire to make it plenum rated. The company who produces this unique motor are not willing to switch cables.

Dear Becky ,

Assuming that running non-plenum cable in a "piped" raceway is not against code in your jurisdiction, any type of metalic raceway should be suitable for what you are proposing. Be aware that only the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) can make the call.
