Dear Punit,

Most switches these days do not require any special cable. They can either simply autosense the presence of a straight-through or a cross-over cable or give you ability to push a button that converts your straight cable into a cross over one (and vise versa). However, if your switches do not let you do that, use this page to make your own (or to buy a factory-made one for that matter): http://www.cabling-design.com/references/pinouts/10-100base_t_crossover.shtml

Sincerely,
Dmitri Abaimov, RCDD
